General Iyengar Yoga (Hybrid)

Note: This class is hybrid. The instructor will be in person in Gettysburg, and also offers live virtual participation via zoom. Participants will receive the zoom link via email confirmation once they register for class.

This general class is suitable for ongoing Iyengar yoga practitioners and for students with some yoga experience in other methods. Inversions are taught, including Sirsasana (headstand). Students are expected to have some knowledge and experience with holding Sarvangasana (shoulderstand) for a period of time. Knowledge of basic yoga prop use is expected. The class emphasis differs each week and will cover varying asana (pose) families on a cyclical basis including standing poses, forward extensions, seated poses, twists, backbends, abdominal asanas, inversions and occasionally restorative poses. Poses are taught in stages and props are used to make poses accessible and to help you find proper alignment regardless of your current flexibility or strength level.

If you are ready to refine your practice, this class will leave you feeling grounded, aligned, and more integrated.
